Would you like to donate a wheel chair or walker to a handicapped person?  Would you like to contribute textbooks or scholarship funds toward a student’s primary or secondary education?  Would you like to help finance a medical surgery?


A group of young Sri Lankans living in Minnesota have launched a new web site with a vision to help Sri Lankans around the world to lend a hand to someone in Sri Lanka .  The site’s primary objective is to create a platform where Sri Lankans around the world can meet and share resources or contribute to a worthy cause.  

All you have to do to donate is log on to www.supportlanka.org and create a posting offering your assistance.  Viewers in Sri Lanka can respond to postings by contacting the donor.  The donors have the ability to choose the suitable candidate from the respondents to the posting.

The site allows Sri Lankans to request assistance as well.  Every post is subject to approval by the administrators of  www.supportlanka.org and only authentic/genuine postings will be approved after verification.

www.supportlanka.org is integrated with social media (Facebook, Twitter, you tube etc.) and is accessible with mobile devices.

www.supportlanka.org invites fellow Sri Lankans around the world to use the site to make a difference in someone’s life.
