It is estimated that 2.1 million cases of dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF)/dengue shock syndrome (DSS) occur every year resulting in 21 ,000 deaths.
The present invention relates to markers for detecting dengue virus infection, and to the use of the markers for diagnostic and monitoring purposes. The invention also relates to the use of the markers for the induction of immune responses for preventative and therapeutic purposes and for detecting and monitoring the immune responses following intervention.
